Candlesticks are Constructed

Candlesticks are constructed with the same data as bar
charts. The open~close range is drawn as a rectangle
(called the "body"). The high and low of the
bar are drawn as lines (called "shadows").
If
the close is below the open, then the rectangle is "Filled".
If the close is above the open, then the rectangle is
"Empty". If the open equals the close, then
the rectangle is drawn with no color (like a cross or
plus sign).
So,
these create three distinct types of candles..
Black
Candle = Filled Candle = close < open
White Candle = Empty Candle = close > open
Doji Candle = open equals close
